Call now: 0800 999 1295

Image Surveys provides survey-grade drone data for contractors, civil engineers, groundworks teams and developers across Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire and the wider North West. Using RTK positioning and ground control points (GCPs), we deliver topographic surveys, earthworks volumes, progress monitoring and 3D models accurate to sub-20mm — captured faster and more safely than ground-based methods, and delivered in the formats your design and commercial teams already use.
No scaffolding. No road closures. No site shutdown. Just reliable, georeferenced data you can drop straight into CAD, BIM or your project records.
✅ Sub-2cm accuracy (RTK + GCP verified) · ✅CAA-licensed pilots · ✅ Fully insured · ✅ 2D & 3D outputs ✅ Fast mobilisation across the North West including 24/7 contact number for emergencies after storms, fire or flooding

Drone data can fail on construction sites because it was never captured to a survey standard — and unusable data means delays, rework and cost. If the drone is acting alone just taking pictures then that is great for marketing but it may not fit your needs.
We work differently. You decide what you need and tell us. Every construction survey where accuracy is crucial is flown with RTK positioning and if needed we also use a second level of checking by laying data over independently measured ground control points to act as checkpoints and then finally quality-check the results in dedicated drone software before delivery. The result is data you can build from that is, traceable, repeatable and ready for design and commercial use.
We tell you the method and the numbers up front, because that's what your surveyors and engineers need to trust the output.

Pre-construction topographic surveys Existing ground levels and surface detail across the whole site before earthworks begin — delivered as a DTM/DSM and 2D CAD (DWG/DXF) for your design team. See our aerial mapping service.
Construction progress monitoring Regular, directly comparable datasets that track the site against programme — ideal for commercial records, stakeholder reporting and spotting issues early. Repeat flights over the life of the build give you a clean digital history of the project.
Orthomosaics & point clouds High-resolution georeferenced orthomosaics and dense point clouds (LAS/LAZ) for measurement, design and integration into your existing workflow.
3D models & scan-to-BIM-ready data Measurable 3D models, digital twins and fly-throughs for design coordination, site logistics and presentation. See our 3D modelling service.
Drainage & terrain modelling High-resolution terrain models to support drainage design, surface-water planning and flood-risk assessment.
Earthworks & stockpile volume calculations Accurate cut-and-fill and stockpile volumes from aerial data, with measurement reports — faster and safer than ground-based methods on open or hazardous ground.
As-built surveys & verification Capture as-built conditions and verify works against design at handover or any project stage.
High-level & hard-to-access inspection Structures, façades, embankments and watercourses inspected without scaffolding or rope access. See our building inspections and roof inspections.

If you need fast, accurate, wide-area site data — and you need it to hold up under scrutiny — we can help. T:0800 999 1295

A site doesn't start at ground-breaking. We support projects across the full development lifecycle, from early site context and topographic data at the planning and feasibility stage through to progress monitoring and as-built surveys during construction. Engage us once and keep a single, consistent source of aerial data for the life of the project.
We also cover unexpected issues caused by floods, storms, vandalism and fire where you need to access a site quickly for safety and damage and so we offer an emergency service with a direct telephone available 24/7 T 08009991295

Based in Southport, we mobilise quickly across the region with emergency callout available around the clock.
Core coverage: Merseyside, Lancashire and Cheshire
Regular coverage: Greater Manchester, Cumbria, Yorkshire, Derbyshire and North Wales
Towns and cities we work in include: Liverpool · Southport · Preston · Blackpool · Lancaster · Chester · Warrington · Wirral · Wigan · Burnley · Blackburn · Carlisle · and across the North Wales coast.
Local knowledge matters for flight planning, airspace and access — and being based in the North West means we know the ground and can get to your site fast.

How accurate is a drone survey? With RTK positioning and ground control points, our construction surveys achieve accuracy of under 2cm on both the horizontal and vertical axis — sufficient for construction-grade topographic data, volumetrics and design
Can drone survey data be used for CAD and BIM?Yes. We deliver georeferenced point clouds, 2D CAD (DWG/DXF) and 3D models suitable for CAD and scan-to-BIM workflows, supplied to your specification.
How much does a construction drone survey cost?It depends on site size, access, the accuracy required and the deliverables you need. We provide a transparent fixed-price quote before any work begins — call 0800 999 1295.
How quickly can you get to our site? We mobilise across the North West fast — many surveys within days of enquiry — and offer 24/7 emergency callout for storm, flood or damage assessment.
Can you survey an active construction site safely?Yes. All flights are CAA-compliant, fully risk-assessed and insured, and we work with minimal disruption — no scaffolding or site shutdown required. Where sites sit near controlled airspace or aerodromes, we manage the permissions as part of survey planning.
Which areas do you cover? We work primarily across Merseyside, Lancashire and Cheshire, with regular projects in Greater Manchester, Cumbria, Yorkshire, Derbyshire and North Wales.
Are your operations legal and insured? Yes — we are CAA-licensed (operator ID GBR-OP-K3GKP2JCP5DJ), fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity, and all work is guaranteed.
Tell us the site location, size and what you need to measure, and we'll send a fixed-price quote with clear deliverables and turnaround.
