Being Innovative, thinking in new ways and having a pragmatic approach to problem solving is at the heart of our brand.
Logically growing the benefits of drone technology is something we care about.
We have already worked on a number of research projects including work on detecting invasive species of plants and on using drones to trace subsoil drainage issues.
We believe that by working closely with leading experts in different areas we can combine the new technology with their research in new ways to push new use cases.
If you need input from drones for developing a proof of concept or large model leaning then we are happy to have a conversation with you.
If we cannot help we have a network of experienced partners in the UK and further afield.

We are working with leading AI specialists to develop improved detection and assessment of habitat changes using drones and ground based cameras to monitor areas such as where major civil engineering is planned or in areas that are sensitive to external environmental changes.
This tech speeds up the processing of the number of images generated by such surveys meaning quicker responses to issues.

We are currently developing the use of drones for land surveying to provide farmers with the information they need in an efficient way.
We are also involved in the possible use of drone in monitoring soil performance carbon reduction and sustainability in terms of water use, minerals/ fertilisers, energy use and human interaction.

Image Surveys is invested in developing the use of drones with different sensors and scanning technology to help in the efficient management of heritage properties in terms of maintenance, preservation, research and engagement of visitors.

Image Surveys is working with other specialists to look at the efficient creation of digital twins that can be easily shared and updated to provide information for managers of public buildings and event spaces in light of changes that will come from building and public safety legislation following the Grenfell and Manchester Arena disasters.

As the UK moves to a reduced carbon economy the less reliance on heavy machinery the better. In this respect our drones are already replacing traditional methods of working that use such equipment.
We are also looking at the using thermal drones to allow building owners to look at where they can make savings on expensive and carbon dependent energy

As well as traditional research we are also keen to see our industry develop a professional reputation for responsible flying though investment in our own training, contribution to changes in UK drone legislation and offering help for organisations that are at risk from inappropriate drone activities such as access to anti -drone technology which is a developing area.

Image Surveys Limited is proud to be have been invited to take part in an initiative within the Liverpool City Region known as NOVEL. The group was set up in 2025 to partner innovative private sector businesses, the combined authority authority and the City's world class universities.
Led by the team from the University of Liverpool's Virtual Engineering Centre the aim is to pioneer new ways to maximise results from innovation by unlocking the combined skills of those involved in new ways.
