Flying drones is not what we actually do for customers it is just the way we do it and that is not the same thing. What you are asking us to do is deliver results (Images, reports, maps etc) that you need.
However you also need to know that when we do fly a drone for you we do it safely and legally.

If you hire a builder you want them to build something not just walk around with a drill in their hand.
We deliver a range of services for clients and how we do it is that generally (but not exclusively) is we capture the raw information with a drone and then, depending on what you need, we use a variety of post editing software to generate the outcome.
In the "tongue in cheek" image you see that you not just getting a drone pilot but a lot of other specialist services to deliver the final result for you.
If you want more information please call us direct 0800 999 1295
All commercial drone flights are controlled by the CAA in the UK.
We are legally required to hold an operators licence and flight ID for each drone. Our operators ID is: GBR-OP-K3GKP2JCP5DJ .
The CAA require we report and record any accidents, near misses or breaches. You may ask to see details of any accidents.
Our declared target is to have no accidents or reportable events. We take our legal responsibility for flying seriously and on any job the Pilot has the last word on the decision on to fly based on safety.
We regret we shall not tolerate any pressure brought on pilots acting under their legal duties to maintain safety.
if your looking to fly your own drone you must as a minimum understand teh rules contained in the UK Drone Code at https://www.caa.co.uk/drones/getting-started-with-drones-and-model-aircraft/drone-code/drone-code-overview/
Drone work is varied and complex. One size cannot fit all. We specialise in the areas you can see here on our website but we work with other established partners and if we cannot carry out the work we will be able to find you someone in our network who does because it is more important that you get the right job done safely and efficiently than us dealing with everything in house. Just call us and ask!
We are based in Southport and to be cost effective and to be on site quickly we mainly work in the North West of England and North Wales with most of our work in the Liverpool, Southport and Preston regions but we do travel further including work in Cumbria, the North East, Scotland, and Yorkshire.
Any new task or project starts with an enquiry. We will go though the issues you have and work out first if we can help. If we are not able to or feel someone else is more suitable we will still try ad help by finding you the additional help needed.
Once we agree that we can help we will supply a quote and if you are happy we will start the process.
It is essentially involves three stages of planning, execution and delivery and overreaching the whole project is safety.
Planning includes all the legal checks that we are required to make along with location and weather checks, flight plans and risk assessments. It is a lot of paperwork!
Execution of the flight itself is generally uneventful due to the Preparation before hand but it is weather dependent and we have to ensure public safety throughout.
Delivery depends on what you need . It could be photographs, maps, 3D models or reports. Time for delivery will be agreed with you beforehand.
Based on the information we will have we will work with you to establish a date for the flight which will depend on suitable weather conditions.
We will also check flights are allowed in the area on the day planned. The CAA bans flights in certain areas such as near airports, imposes temporary bans for certain events such as during air shows and can impose restrictions on maximum altitude or times of permitted flights. If your planned flight is prevented by one of these bans or we cannot get the relevant permissions we will let you know as soon as possible. We do, however, charge for any pre flight work done where the flight does not or cannot go ahead.
We will check local weather the day before and on the morning of the flight and make a final weather check prior to take off. We will also check any temporary flying restrictions with the CAA.
We will carry out safety checks on the drone and make sure the area is safe to fly, free from obstructions, people and other potential hazards. Where necessary the take off area will be clearly marked and people not involved will be excluded from the area.
Regrettably if flights are cancelled within 48 hours of the proposed flight for whatever reason we reserve the right to charge the full cost of that day. Flights cancelled within 5 days (but over 48 hours before) attract a 50% charge and 25% can be charged if cancelation is within 5 -10days. Please see our full terms and conditions for more information.
If our pilot believes the flight is not safe in the conditions their decision is final as it is a legal responsibility and we dont want pilots going to prison!
Our pilot will have with them all relevant safety equipment. during the flight there should be no disturbance to the pilot who is required to remain in eye contact with the drone at all times.
Any images will be edited and prepared at our office and then sent to you via Dropbox or We Transfer.
Your rights to use the image are subject to an unrestricted licence but only once any balance of the invoice is paid. Breach of this can lead to penalty charges which are set out in our contract.
We ask you download content as soon as possible (and in any event within 5 days) and check there are no issues. In the unlikely event of an issue please call us immediately or email us to activate any guarantee or for the issue to be resolved in another way.
We can all make mistakes and sadly, but rarely, can let customers down.
We are pleased to say it is not very often but if it does we want to reassure you and we will endeavour to put things right as soon as practicable and we back our work with our quality guarantee.
Your only task is to let us know as soon as possible either by phone or email if you felt we did something wrong. You can find the information to reach us on the contact page.
Your complaint will then be fully investigated and we will try to resolve matters for you as soon as possible.
Where we are deployed to carry out grown based data capture we generally use specialised wild life cameras that are powered using solar technology and have extremely long lives.
Deployment is a skilled task that caries depending on the project requirements which we do for you and we link the hardware in to our specific monitoring software. We handle all relevant GDPR needs relating to the capture and data processing.
Projects are generally for a minimum of a month but can last years.
We take our place in the World seriously and hope we "tread lightly" on the ground.
We are aware drones can be dangerous and cause alarm and distress to some people in regards to privacy and nuisance. To this end, in addition to an absolute commitment to safe and legal flying, we also have a policy of engagement and education and will reach out to neighbours of clients where necessary to reduce inconvenience or worries.
Our drones have less impact that say using scaffolding or cherry pickers (that require heavy transport). Much of our survey work can reduce maintenance, identify heat and water loss and target areas for application of such things as fertilisers in amore focussed way .
In sensitive areas drones cause less environmental impact and less disturbance to wildlife than many other methods of monitoring.
We endorse equality and accessibility and attempt to improve the society we live in actively supporting local and national charitable causes. If you would like to know more or need our help and support please reach out to us or read our our ESG policy is available to download below.
